Joe started with Dynamic Group at an early age as a summer employee, working several seasons prior to his graduation from college.  Joe completed several semesters in the physics program before changing majors and graduating with BA in management. During his time at Gustavus Joe also became a licensed uniform securities agent and worked in financial sales.  Joe rejoined Dynamic Group on a full-time basis in 2002 and has filled many roles and held several positions including project manager, estimator, and IT manager. Joe continues to grow, expanding and strengthening a wide array of skills concentrated on finding, developing, and implementing technologies and business practices which will ensure that Dynamic Group continues to lead the industry well into the future.

Steve Kalina

Steve has been with Dynamic Group since 1998. He is a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, with two decorated combat tours and many Leadership roles. Steve currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Minnesota Precision Manufacturing Association as well as the Advisory Board for Hennepin Technical College’s Plastics program. Steve is an avid marathoner and enjoys any time outdoors with his wife and dogs.

Brian Kalina

As a third generation machinist, Brian has been exposed to Dynamic standards since its founding, but has been an official member of the team since 1995. Brian is a graduate of St. Paul College’s Machine Tool Technology program. He has had the opportunity to learn, work, and lead in all processes related to injection mold building, repair and support. Brian is a member of advisory committees for industry educators and a contributor to the development and judging of the annual Skills USA Precision Machining contest.

Al has been with Dynamic Group since 2007 and has over 18 years experience in accounting for manufacturing operations. Al is a proud veteran of the United States Army. Al received his Bachelor of Accounting from the University of Minnesota in Duluth. He is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Management Accountant, with membership in the Institute for Management Accountants and American Institute for CPA’s. Al is an avid volunteer for many civic and youth organizations.

Scott Lefebvre

Scott LefebvreEngineering Manager

Scott has over 26 years of experience, including 23 years with Dynamic Group. He is a graduate of Dunwoody Institute’s Machine Tool Technology program. Scott has had the opportunity to be involved with all aspects of the business, including Moldbuilder, Department Lead, Sales and Estimating, Project Management, Toolroom Manager and Engineering Manager.

David Kalina

David co-founded Dynamic Group in 1977 (then Dynamic Engineering). David is a graduate of Dunwoody Institute’s Machine Tool Technology program. David is a proud veteran of the United States Navy; he was the second highest graduate in the history of the Navy’s Machinery Repairman “A” School. He has served as President of the Twin Cities Chapter for the American Mold Builders Association, on the Board of Directors for the Minnesota Precision Manufacturing Association, and on the advisory board for other manufacturing companies.

Peter McGillivray

Peter McGillivrayFounder/Director

Peter co-founded Dynamic Group in 1977 (then Dynamic Engineering).  He is a graduate of Staples Area Technical Institute, now known as Central Lakes College. He served in various Board positions for the Minnesota Precision Manufacturing Association, including President. He has been an Advisory Board Member for four different technical and community colleges in Anoka, Duluth, St. Paul, and Willmar. He recently completed over two decades as a judge for the Minnesota USA Skills competition. He has given national presentations, including at the National Tooling and Machining Association Convention.  Peter has always had an interest in educating young people about precision manufacturing. In that capacity he served on the Business Leadership Panel for the Anoka-Hennepin School District for over ten years and has given tours to thousands of students at Dynamic’s facilities.
